Watch out, the Alabama Crimson Tide are rolling again. It feels like we could say this every year, but this might be their best team yet. The Tide scoring at an alarming rate, and have the defense to back it up. Nick Saban continues to keep his team at the top of college football, but they face a stiff test this week. Texas A&M is the underdog, but they’re not scared of elite competition. They already played the defending national champs tough, and are ready to take another big challenge.

Why the Alabama Crimson Tide win

I’d be curious to see if there was any sane-minded person that’s argued against Alabama winning a game thus far. They’ll get a their first real test of the season on the road against Texas A&M. Tua Tagovailoa, Jerry Jeudy, and Henry Ruggs III give Alabama the most lethal passing attack in the country, and these three are the reason Alabama wins this game. Texas A&M doesn’t have the players to slow down this passing attack. If they do, then they must worry about DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle, and Ole Miss can tell you how much fun you’ll have doing that. While they aren’t invincible, the Crimson Tide won’t be stopped by just anyone. It takes a special team to pull off the upset.

Why Texas A&M wins

A positive sign for the Aggies is they played Clemson tough. Unfortunately, the Tigers haven’t looked nearly as strong as Alabama. Texas A&M has their hands full trying to defend the Crimson Tide passing attack. It’s a tough task to ask the Aggies to hit Tua frequently and limit the deep passes, but that’s what they need to do. Tackling becomes vital to pull off an upset, because Jeudy and the receivers are elite at making big plays after contact. All of that, and we still haven’t talked about beating the Crimson Tide defense. Kellen Mond and the offense have playmakers that can do damage, but they can’t keep up with the Tide’s offense in a shootout. Keeping the score manageable will be key, and the offense must be efficient with their scoring.

You’re insane if you think the Tide are losing, but a little chaos never hurt anyone. Beating Alabama’s a tough task, but Texas A&M won’t roll over because of that. Certain things must go right for the Aggies to pull off the upset, but we’ve seen stranger things happen between these two. This year, unfortunately, is not one of those years.
