Welcome to the Week 10 NFL Strength of Schedule rankings.

The New England Patriots no longer have the easiest schedule in the NFL after losing to the Baltimore Ravens. The Patriots do not have an impressive resume because all of their wins came against one of the easiest strength of schedules ever recorded.

Be sure to check out our NFL power rankings. Many do not take the strength of a team’s schedule into account. We do here at Champion Insiders.

Our strength of schedule rankings are based on the strength of all 32 NFL team’s schedules of all completed games this season. The highest-ranking means the toughest schedule in the NFL so far.

How is the NFL schedule made?

The NFL has worked hard to create as fair a schedule as possible. While this is impossible to accomplish they have some practices in place that keep some consistency in scheduling. The schedules are made two years in advance.

  • Six games against divisional opponents — two games per team, one at home and one on the road.
  • Four games against teams from a division within its conference — two games at home and two on the road.
  • Four games against teams from a division in the other conference— two games at home and two on the road.
  • Two games against teams from the two remaining divisions in its own conference — one game at home and one on the road. Matchups are based on division ranking from the previous season.
