The Boston Celtics are reported adding point guard Kemba Walker to their roster during 2019 NBA free agency.

They are signing Walker to a 4-year $141 million max contract per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Walker will be the starting point guard for the Boston Celtics for the 2019-20 NBA season. He is replacing Kyrie Irving who is signing with the Brooklyn Nets after failing to meet expectations in Boston.

Kemba Walker spent the 2018-19 season with the Charlotte Hornets. With them he averaged 25.6 points per game, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.2 steals.

The Celtics will look to have more of a complete team buy-in with Walker running the point guard moving forward.
