The New Orleans Pelicans are reportedly adding veteran shooting guard JJ Redick to their young roster.

This was the first official free agent signing of the day for ESPN Senior reporter Adrian Wojnarowski as he tweeted.

“Free agent guard JJ Redick has agreed to a two-year, $26.5M deal to join the New Orleans Pelicans, league sources tell ESPN.”

Redick will join a roster that just added a lot of young talent after winning the 2019 NBA Draft Lottery and a massive trade with the Los Angeles Lakers that gave them a young core of players and another early draft pick.

With the 1st pick of the draft, the Pelicans took Zion Williamson who is a generational talent.

With players like Redick with this young core, the rebuilding process might not take that long for the Pelicans.
