Colorado State plans to fire football coach Mike Bobo this week, Sports Illustrated reported Wednesday.
The Rams (4-8, 3-5 Mountain West) posted their second straight losing season in 2019 and are 28-35 overall since Bobo took over before the 2015 season. That includes a 2-13 record against rivals Colorado, Wyoming and Air Force.
Bobo, 45, posted identical 7-6 records in each of his first three seasons in Fort Collins, losing bowl games in each campaign.
Bobo was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at his alma mater Georgia before coming to Colorado State.
Potential candidates to replace Bobo include Ohio State assistant head coach Tony Alford, who played running back at Colorado State from 1987-90.
